The short version: play fair

Ugly Game Awards is an independent, satirical football project. It is for entertainment, community voting, and gently pointing at football behaviour that deserves a raised eyebrow.

Awards, nominations, votes, and results are opinions and jokes. They are not statements of objective fact, professional judgements, or formal findings about any player, team, official, club, competition, or incident.

You are responsible for the account you use on the site. Keep your sign-in details safe, use accurate information where it matters, and do not create accounts for other people without permission.

We may limit, suspend, or remove accounts that break these terms, the Community Guidelines, or the basic social contract of not making everything worse.

Voting should reflect your genuine view. Do not manipulate votes, use bots, automate voting, create multiple accounts to boost a result, or interfere with the voting process.

We may remove suspicious votes or take action against accounts where we think voting has been manipulated.

If the site allows nominations, comments, reports, profile text, or other submissions, you are responsible for what you submit. Keep it lawful, relevant, and in the spirit of football satire.

Do not submit content that is abusive, hateful, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, spammy, or otherwise harmful. We may edit, hide, or remove content when needed.

The Ugly Game Awards name, site design, written copy, original artwork, and other original materials belong to the site operator unless stated otherwise.

Football names, club names, competition names, player names, images, and other third-party materials may belong to their respective owners. Any reference to them is for commentary, satire, reporting, or identification.

We try to keep the site available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access. Features may change, disappear, or return wearing a fake moustache if that is what the build demands.

We may pause or restrict the service for maintenance, moderation, security, legal, or operational reasons.

We may review, edit, remove, or refuse content, votes, accounts, or activity that appears to breach these terms or the Community Guidelines.

Moderation decisions are made to protect the site and its community. They may not always be perfect, but they will aim to keep the awards playful rather than poisonous.

The site is provided as is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost data, loss of enjoyment, disappointment that your chosen nomination lost, or reliance on satirical voting results.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction unless consumer law gives you rights elsewhere.
